Come tour our rowing center and try out our ergs and tanks. Adults and kids are welcome. “Touch a boat” sailing activity in the boat bay and marine science activity both for kids.

Say "Hi" to the Bay Farm animals, play on the playground, and enjoy a plant potting craft! New this year, learn about our 4-H program led by Bay Farm Montessori’s Agriculture specialist.
Join members of the Community Garden Club of Duxbury in the Coffee Filter Flower Garden where families will have the opportunity to transform coffee filters into vibrant daffodils, hydrangeas, and other beautiful blooms.

Stop by Camp Wing and take a tour of our beautiful campsite in North Duxbury. See all that a traditional summer camp encompasses and you may be lucky enough to meet some of our overnight summer campers who will be visiting for their school year programming weekend. Two guided tours will be offered: one at 10:30am and one at 11:30am. Meet at 742 Keene Street in front of the big barn.

Drop in program for all ages. Discover clues about who lives in Duxbury Bay as we walk the beach and search in the wrack. Then make a sand mural with your findings. Bayside at Duxbury Beach, parking in the Resident Lot/open for all.

Making May Baskets at the Nathaniel Winsor Jr House, 479 Washington Street. Learn the springtime tradition of creating flower baskets to leave on the doorstep of a friend. DRHS Archivist & Historian, Carolyn Ravenscroft, will be giving tours of the brand new 2024 summer exhibit, Portraits of Duxbury. Come discover the art of Cephas Thompson and Cephas G. Thompson.

Observe our SSC dancers rehearse choreography for their upcoming Spring Performance on May 18, at Duxbury High School’s Presentation Hall.
Drum Circle - South Shore Conservatory

A fun, hands-on community building and rhythm-sharing drum circle, suitable for all ages with Ed Sorrentino.
12pm-2pm
A Tony Kelso presentation about the history of the Myles Standish Hotel in Duxbury, partnering with Booked to sell copies of Patrick Ahern’s book about the hotel’s transformation into a grand dame seaside estate. We will serve nostalgic hotel treats and hand out Myles Standish Hotel song books.
2-4pm - Alden Historic House
Join violinist Angelica Vendetti for toe-tapping tunes from the Mayflower era to the modern day. Includes activities for kids & tours of Alden House.
2-3pm - Art Complex Museum
On display in our Phoenix Gallery is the work of artist Zach Horn, who says that his dream of Heaven is “a big, long, outdoor table filled with home cooking….” Surrounded by Horn’s food-themed artwork, each participant will design and create their own 11x17” placemat, which we’ll laminate for you. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
3-4pm - Duxbury Free Library
Duxbury has a history with the ship construction, at one point boasting 20 shipyards in the 18th century. Join us and give a try at constructing a ship that can pass the test of carrying cargo, just like old Duxbury residences did many years ago! This program for ages 8 and up.
