10am-12pm - 145 Loring St: Swing by Bay Farm Montessori between 10AM and noon for some hands-on fun! Meet our friendly farm animals, climb, slide, and play on the playground, and get creative with a fun craft activity. Our amazing specialists will be on site to chat about Bay Farm’s vibrant 4-H and performing arts programs. Come say hello—we’d love to show you what makes Bay Farm such a joyful place to learn and grow!
10am-3:30pm - 64 St George St Art and Artisan Fair. Local artists and crafters will be set up outside at The Ellison Center for the Arts.
10:30am-12pm - 77 Alden St: SILENT AUCTION of new rug by Duxbury Rug Hookers; Hands-on demo & chance to try hooking on communal rug; Q&A with Hookers; On the Wall & Underfoot exhibition; Antique rug display (by DRHS on 2nd floor DFL)); Scavenger hunt. Suitable for all ages.
10:30am-12:30pm: Birds of Duxbury Beach: Family activity: Learn about the many species of birds that nest on Duxbury Beach. Join in the search for them as we explore the shore, marsh, and dunes.
11am-12:30pm - 10 Mayflower St: “Clambury” Talk by Tony Kelso – the history of clamming in Duxbury. Learn about the “singing” clams and sample some of Duxbury’s best clam chowder.
11am-2pm - 479 Washington St: Goats on the Harborwalk. Elaine Philbrick, new owner of Duxbury Creamery, will be bringing her goats to the lawn of Nathaniel Winsor House 11-2pm. Samples of goat cheese, petting/feeding goats. The Duxbury Newcomers & Neighbors Club will be co-sponsoring this event.
12pm-1pm - 64 St. George St: Observe a ballet class from 12:00-12:30 pm and participate in a community drum circle from 12:30- 1pm. Located @ Ellison Center.
Stop by Camp Wing and take a tour of our beautiful campsite in North Duxbury. See all that a traditional summer camp encompasses for this summer's season for our day and overnight campers. Two guided tours will be offered: one at 12:00 pm and one at 1:00pm.
12pm-4pm - 105 Alden St: Revolutionary War military encampment and living history day with Col. Bailey’s 2nd Massachusetts Regiment.
1pm-3pm - 189 Alden St: Art Cart Day, Free Art Activity: Suitable for all ages
3pm-4pm - 761 Temple St: Restoration talk and demonstration - preservation carpentry students from the North Bennet Street School will discuss their efforts to preserve the attached timber frame barn with early techniques of hewing, cutting joinery and jacking.
All participants in the online scavenger hunt will be entered into a raffle to win the EXCLUSIVE #0001 race bib for the DEF July 4th race.
